“Sharknado” is an upcoming American science fiction horror film directed by Anthony Cundari and starring Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, David Hasselhoff, and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The film is based on the 2013 SyFy television movie of the same name written by Thunder Levin and Josh Weinstein and produced by The Asylum Pictures. In the film, a tornado spawned by a Category 4 hurricane chases down a group of people in their vacation van, eventually leading to their escape into an underwater shark tank at a local aquarium where they are attacked by sharks. The film was announced in March 2015 and began filming later that year in California with a release planned for late 2016 or early 2017 on Syfy.[1] The film’s title is derived from the 1985 movie “Shark Boy”, which also featured sharks attacking people in an aquarium setting.[2]

If you’re looking to prepare for the upcoming Sharknado movie, here are some facts you should know! The film is set to air on July 31, and while it’s not a sequel, it does feature Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. In case you were wondering, there will be zero sharks in the movie.  

Before watching Sharknado, it is important to be aware of the following five things: 1. The movie is extremely violent and gory; 2. It contains a lot of profanity; 3. It’s not for the faint-hearted; 4. There are no redeeming qualities whatsoever; and 5. It’s absolutely hilarious! So if you’re looking for something light and comedic after a long day, Sharknado might not be the best choice – but if you’re up for some Seriously Violent Fun, this movie is definitely worth checking out!
