Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Rose

Here is a straightforward rose drawing:

  • To begin the simple rose drawing, draw a teardrop-shaped egg that is slightly slanted to the right.
  • Beginning at the left, connect a half-U letter to the bottom of the teardrop-shaped egg, as shown in the figure. Make the U’s top a little bit bent.
  • Connect the teardrop to the beginning of the U.
  • To simulate the inner petals of a rose, draw two really small lines at the top.
  • Increase the rosebud’s top by two more tiny petals.
  • A straightforward rose drawing is lacking without the stem and its leaves. In this stage, draw two vertical lines that are parallel to one another at the base of the rose bloom. Make sure the lines are drawn by hand; they don’t have to be precise.
  • Sketch the leaves of the rose bloom on either side of the stem.
  • At this point, the rose flower can be completed. You may make the rose blossom by colouring it red or any other colour of your choice—roses come in a variety of shades. Green paint should be applied to the stem and leaves.
