NEW DELHI — According to Union Minister Hardeep Puri on Saturday, over 7,300 homes have been awarded ownership rights, and over 4.1 lakh people have registered for the PM-Unauthorised Colony in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojna (pm uday yojana). On October 29, 2019, PM-UDAY was announced to provide residents of Delhi’s 1,731 illegal colonies ownership rights (UCs).

So far, 4,19,485 people have enrolled under the PM-UDAY programme, and 7,329 homes in Delhi’s illegal colonies have been given ownership rights. Puri, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, responded with a Hindi tweet.

He also offered a two-part video from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) that leads people through the online registration procedure.

The registration for this plan is entirely online.

If a person is unable to do it at home, the video suggests that he or she go to the local Common Service Centre (CSC) or phone a registered organisation that has been authorised to assist persons in executing the registration for a fee.

The DDA has been identified as the initiative’s nodal agency, which utilises satellite data from 2015 to delineate the boundaries of these UCs with the help of the Survey of India and the Delhi government’s Revenue Department.

“We made a promise, and we honoured it,” Puri added.

“People living in illegal colonies will no longer have to fear bulldozers. The registration process is rather simple “He said.

Under the proposal, the DDA will evaluate files and award transfer titles for government properties, as well as permission slips for private lands purely for residential use.

Beneficiaries may register these documents at the sub-office.
